Welcome Song:
Welcome to Water of Life Ministries (original composition)
Hymn:
Praise God From Whom All Blessings Flow (Gospel Version)
Scripture:
Revelation 22:12-17
"12 Behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me,
to render to each man according as his work is. 13 I am the Alpha and the Omega,
the first and the last, the beginning and the end. 14 Blessed are they that wash
their robes, that they may have the right [to come] to the tree of life, and may enter in by the gates into the city.
15 Without are the dogs, and the sorcerers, and the fornicators, and the murderers,
and the idolaters, and every one that loveth and maketh a lie. 16 I Jesus have
sent mine angel to testify unto you these things for the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, the bright, the
morning star. 17 And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And he that heareth, let him say, Come.
And he that is athirst, let him come: he that will, let him
take the water of life freely."
Explaination:
God is known as El Shaddai - God that is more than enough, he also revealed
himself as Jehova Jirah - The Lord God our Provider. Therefore we belive that he is the source of all that we need.
All blessing truly flow from him. Also Jesus states that we are made clean or sanctified through the word of God.
Metephorically making a references to the word of God being like water. As God's word flows, we need
to freely receive it. Thirst in this passage can be associated with our desires and needs. (see article Aspects of God)
Slogan:
Blessings and Unity - is derived from Psalm 133 which reads:
1 How good and pleasant it is
when brothers live together in unity!
2 It is like precious oil poured on the head,
running down on the beard,
running down on Aaron's beard,
down upon the collar of his robes.
3 It is as if the dew of Hermon
were falling on Mount Zion.
For there the LORD bestows his blessing,
even life forevermore. - King David
Explaination:
In short this means
God's blessings flow where his people are united in his spirit. We conclude that based on the fact that this passage
refers to the first high priest Aaron, the brother of Moses. When he was first anointed and the gathering or unifying
of God's people to worship.
