G od is alive! He is and was and is to come! Theologians refer to
him as being omnipresent ( greek for in all places at all times.) In fact one of his names in Hebrew is Jehovah Shama –
meaning the Lord God is there.
Therefore it is essential to know these points about His name.
- It is important to know that there are many names for God. But only one God.
"Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD: 5 And thou shalt love the LORD thy
God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might." Deuteronamy 6:4.Men and demons may make
themselves god but the creator is the source of all that exists spiritual or physical.
- It is import to know that there are many facets and or benefits in God.
- For example power. People love, hunger and crave power. All power is of God. So in essence
what we need is a secure good relationship with God.
- Avoid getting caught up in things like theology until you are confused. Just know that whatever you
need God has it.
- To avoid confusion, God allows the Hebrew language to give a name to God for the different things
He does. As a way of letting you know you must always go to God.
Example one:
"5 And the people spake against God, and against Moses,
Wherefore have ye brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? for there is no bread, neither is there any water;
and our soul loatheth this light bread. 6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they
bit the people; and much people of Israel died. 7 Therefore the people came to Moses, and said, We
have sinned, for we have spoken against the LORD, and against thee; pray unto the LORD, that he take away the serpents from
us. And Moses prayed for the people. 8 And the LORD said unto Moses, Make thee a fiery serpent,
and set it upon a pole: and it shall come to pass, that every one that is bitten, when he looketh upon it, shall live". Numbers
21:5-9.
Example two:
And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me. St. John 12:32
Example one explained: Even though those things actually happened, it is also symbolic of how
God sent his son Jesus in the likeness of sinful flesh to save us from sin and to deliver us from evil ( demonic attacks,
sickness, etc.) if we look to him. The two passages are exemplary of God being called Jehovah Ropha (the Lord
God that heals more like healing balm , medicine, makes immune).
Example two is an example of God’s purpose for sending his son named Jesus Christ
or in Hebrew Yeshua Ha Masheauck
